Morticia Imperial Stout

With a list of insanely sought-after breweries like Other Half, Grimm, and Interboro, why the hell are leagues of New York craft fans taking an hour-long subway ride out of the city to the sleepy town of Oceanside?

Easy answer Barrier Brewing.

Not only have these collaboration kings teamed up with the most hyped NY breweries, their masterful beers led to a partnership with world-famous Mikkeller.

Once craft-seekers heard their personal favorite breweries were linking up with Barrier, they suddenly had a reason to make the lengthy trek.

Getting your hands on today’s Morticia Imperial Stout will immediately skyrocket your craft cred to new heights.

When you share its roasty, cocoa-dusted depths with your beer buddies and list off Barrier’s prolific collab resumé, they’ll inevitably ask, “How is it even possible I haven’t heard of these guys?!”

And it’s a great question, honestly: Morticia earns an exceptional 4.15 BA score with users claiming its baker’s chocolate and espresso flavors surpass legends like Old Rasputin and Yeti.

A thick, super-smooth mouthfeel leads to a boldly bittersweet finish, proving why reviewers call it “absolutely world class.”

Thick and smooth like black satin with a spongy cinnamon tanned head.

Aromas of smoke, dark chocolate, coffee, roasted char and oak.

Flavor Profile:

  • Dark Chocolate
  • Black Licorice
  • Roasted Malt
  • Coffee/Espresso
  • Oak
  • Mildly Boozy with a hidden warm alcohol effect

The beer journey continues! a Med-bodied delight of chocolate, licorice, molasses, smoky-oak and roasted malt with super-smooth mouthfeel. My only regret? Not purchasing more.
