Mexican Style Chocolate Stout from Copper Kettle Brewing Company

Most Mexican Chocolate Stouts are seasonal releases, but Colorado’s Copper Kettle makes their chocolate and chili infused Mexican Style Chocolate Stout all year round!

That’s because Coloradans demand 365 day access.

They’re so committed that they even guzzle it down during the brewery’s neighborhood chili cook off.

Spice on top of spice, that’s how these Stout fans roll!

The only problem is trying to find this sippable spiced Stout outside of Denver.

Even after the hype of being featured in Bon Appetit and Beer Advocate Magazine, this brew rarely makes it across state lines.

Fortunately, we’ve managed to smuggle a few cases past the thirsty locals, so here’s your chance to taste what you’ve been missing!

Intertwined with cinnamon sweetness and the bittersweet snap of cocoa, this Stout’s meteoric blaze will linger on your palate long past your last sip.

Coloradans are spoiled for choice when it comes to great craft beer, but they keep coming back to Mexican Chocolate Stout.

There’s just no substitute for its spicy dark-chocolate and cinnamon profile.

Now it’s the rest of the country’s turn to sample a sip of this decadent, chili infused, GABF Gold winning treat.

Appearance:

Thick black pour with mild carbonation and lacing producing a cinnamon brown spongy head that dissipated quickly.

Aroma:

Aromas of chocolate, coffee and cinnamon with roasted malt and chili pepper spice.

Flavor Profile:

  • Chocolate
  • Coffee
  • Mocha
  • Cinnamon
  • Chili Pepper Spice/Heat
  • Roasted Malt
  • Caramel

Overall:

A nice balance of coffee and bittersweet chocolate with consistent chili pepper spice.

Roasted caramelized malt produced the right amount of heat with a sweet and spicy smokey finish.

A gold metal winner at the great American beer fest, Copper Kettle Brewing Company hit the sweet and spicy spot with this Mexican style chocolate stout.
