Rick Rodriguez who heads up blending for CAO said, “We haven’t changed any CAO blends since we took over the brand. But that doesn’t mean we couldn’t put our spin on one of them. We added a new wrapper, made the original wrapper the binder, and cranked the whole thing up with more ligero.”

This CAO Box press is made with Ligeros from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua with a Brazilian/Nicaraguan binder. The wrapper being a rare Habano Grueso leaf cultivated only in limited quantities. First light was an easy draw with slight spice and flavors of coffee and earth. After cruise control burn the coffee notes increased with nuances of dried fruit and chocolate. The finish was long on the Medium to full bodied cigar with added notes of spice, wood and cocoa.

Size: 6 x 60 Box-Pressed

Wrapper: Brazilian

Binder: Brazilian/Nicaraguan

Filler: Nicaraguan
