You know what’s frustrating? Seeing a bunch of overseas check-ins for one of your favorite dark beers on UT and knowing you can’t pop over to New Zealand, or Finland, or Norway to get a pint.

See, Omnipollo’s 12.5% ABV Agamemnon Imperial Maple Stout is easy to find in Europe but tracking it down stateside can be a headache and a half.

That’s why I’m so freaking happy it’s here at Tavour!

Agamemnon has a reputation six years in the making, it goes all the way back to when this Swedish gypsy brewer was invited to the United States to make a serious beer.

And he took a serious robust Imperial Stout base and boiled it in rich maple syrup for 7 hours! Seriously.

You might even call Agamemnon the first Pastry Stout.

Either you’re like me and Agamemnon is the dark beer you make sure to hunt down every year or you’re even luckier and you’ve never had it before.

That means this is your chance to go in blind and come out happy, and more than a little buzzed or in my case…Extremely BUZZED!



Thick black opaque Hershey’s syrup type pour with a small cinnamon tan head, thick legs with minimal carbonation.



An aroma of toasted charred malt, coffee, pastry chocolate, licorice, dark fruits and molasses.


Flavor Profile: 

  • Caramelized Malt
  • Coffee
  • Vanilla
  • Raisins
  • Toffee
  • Maple Syrup



A marriage of dark fruits, vanilla, coffee and maple combine for a chewy gooey thick mouthful.

A thick bodied beer with low carbonation produced a super tasty pastry type stout combined for a chocolatey yet subtle smokey finish without being overly boozy.
