Short Cuts: Puro Cigar Samsara

Puro Cigar Samsara

The Samsara Sampler comes with four sizes of the vitola and is packaged in a slide-top box. This is a boutique cigar found only in one cigar shop, now online at PuroCigar.com. Originally blended and created by George Rico and Gran Habano cigars, Samsara is rolled with a rich, full, long-filler Nicaraguan leaf that results in The Infinite Flavor® These Nicaraguan puros are tightly packed, and deliver a perfect, easy draw very time. Rich in flavor and medium-bodied for a perfect smoke. Limited supply in stock, once these are gone there gone for good.

APPEARANCE

The Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper is Graham Cracker in color, smooth to the touch with visible seam and minimal tooth and vein. This particular Samsara was rolled in the Toro format with a wide open foot and a triple rounded cap. The single band on the vitola is glossy white with a foil looking blue.

The word “SAMSARA” is in solid white font on a blue background. The white borders read “PURO” in thick black font, rounding the bottom reads “NICARAGUA” in matching thin black font. Pre light aroma had notes of cinnamon, ginger bread and floral spice. The cold draw produced flavors of leather, walnuts and coffee.

CONCLUSION

All things have an ending, enjoyed mostly by the locals and frequently visiting regulars at the former NK Cigar Lounge. The idea, design and eventual conception of the cigar was formed at the former gathering spot of Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks locals, and even though The Samsara never really got the national attention it most certainly deserved it was very well received and enjoyed by everyone who smoked it.

6+ years of age in Samsara have done wonders to the blend of Nicaraguan tobacco. I’ve lost count on how many of these I’ve smoked over the last 6 years as it was always in my rotation of daily and weekly smokes. The cigar has evolved and now currently peaked for the perfect smoking experience.

Narinder Kumar declined comment on any further plans to continue the house blend now that it belongs to Puro Cigar and created by Gran Habano.  So, sadly when the last of the product leaves the shelves there gone for good.
